Description
I have a large antique table saw for sale. This was made by a company called American Machine and Motor. Probably WWII era or a little older. I cleaned it all and painted it and fully assembled it all (I got it in pieces). Has a 14" blade right now but probably made for a 16" or 18". Has a massive cast iron table, quadrant fence, and a very stout mitre gauge.Motor has no information on it, but it's big. Probably 5hp if I had to guess. It is 3 phase, 208/240v. Runs very smooth, though occasionally I have to start my dust collector first to get it to start.
It's in good condition and works well. The fence only allows about 9" of ripping in the narrowest position. So it will rip 0-9" pieces and then you have to move the fence to rip larger than 9".
I also have another piece of poly carbonate material to remake the inset if you use a larger blade.
It is overall a solid machine. Still needs some minor polishing on the handles, etc. but overall good shape. Also I have not tilted the table since I restored it, the grooves are very close tolerance and I believe they need a little grease on them before tilting it. If you loosen the bolts it tilts fine, but its just a hair tight with everything tightened down.
Sold as-is, as pictured.
Had one repair done many years ago to the tilting mechanism. This is a titling table saw.
Will ship. I would prefer the buyer arrange the shipping but I can help if needed.
