    Description

Developed for the Apollo program, the R-4D is a small hypergolic rocket engine (two component fuel/oxidizer that ignite on contact). It was Corporation for use as a reaction control thruster. These tiny engines produce about 100 pounds of thrust each. Arranged in multiple cluster Command Service Module (CSM) and The Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) in route to the moon and back.  It's reliability and simplicity are second to none and it's found in different forms on many spacecraft. Aerojet Rocketdyne still manufactures the R-4D today.
This PLA Plastic Model was developed using actual hardware on loan from a collector, Marquardt documentation, and video interview with the reference.
