    Flown Parachute Presentation
    This auction is for a presentation relating to the Sputnik 9 Vostok spacecraft.
    The presentation has mounted upon it a segment of the flown parachute from the Sputnik 9 Vostok spacecraft which carried mannequin cosmonaut Ivan Ivanovich and space dog Chernushka into space on March 9th 1961 along with other animals including mice and a guinea pig housed in compartments in Ivan's body.
    Sputnik 9 was one of the test flights of the Vostok spacecraft.  The spacecraft completed one orbit of the earth before landing just over an hour and a half later.
    The presentation measures 8.27"(21cm) by 5.83" (14.8cm) and is on thin glossy card.
