    Description

    This large 1920 volume titled: U.S. Official Pictures of the World War - Showing America's Participation totals nearly 1000 pages in several sections with a nicely embossed cover. Copyright by the Pictorial Bureau and including a dedication message by Gen. John J. Pershing. The first pictorial section includes 576 pages followed by a 30 page Final Report by Gen. Pershing. Next is a 64 page section on New York Troops in the War followed by a 319 page section on the U.S. Navy and Marines in the War, There are also sub-sections on Women Participating in the War Efforts, etc.  I believe that smaller volumes of World War I pictures were published that included sections of this large historical work. There is some looseness in the binding and a few pages but it appears to be fairly well intact. (see photos of sample pages).
